We start by keeping the great design elements of the factory Cummins turbo and removing the not-so-great ones such as old-school 12-blade turbine wheels, restrictive turbine housings, cast compressor wheels, and anything else we saw that could be improved upon. Most people look at a turbo and think the compressor wheel is the key to making power. Bigger compressor more power right? Well, this is partly correct. In all honesty, the main factor for turbo flow is the turbine wheel size and design. Meaning blade count, blade design, aero, etc. Doing away with the 80's tech 12-blade turbine, and going to an advanced 9-blade wheel with enhanced aero, cutouts to reduce weight and decrease spool time, you end up with a turbo that spools like stock, it also has an extreme very distinct sound for people looking for thre amplified turbocharger noise, and has the potential to make 700WHP with the proper upgrades! With the basics covered, we stepped it up a level adding proprietary VTT changes and finished off by having all these parts cast to OE quality. What this means for you is serious power for pulling, sledding, towing, or just a fast street truck made easy; GCs are a drop-in turbocharger upgrade that supports over 700 WHP while maintaining factory-like spool and all factory connections including oil, water, downpipe, and charge pipe.
