The performance results are nothing less than amazing more than 120WHP/WTQ Gain in the midrange, and strong gains up top from 50WHP to 80WHP depending on the run. 

Overall, for 5 hours of work, and a retune you can pick up more than 120WHP/WTQ mid-range, and more than 50WHP/WTQ up top with no other changes to boost. This IS the best bang for your buck mod out there after you have done all the usual suspects.

Description

VTT is happy to announce we are the sole distributor for the Skunk2 S58 camshafts.

Skunk2 Ultra Series Stage1 Camshafts for BMW S58 significantly increase engine efficiency and power output by utilizing advanced lobe profile designs that retain full Valvetronic and Double Vanos functionality which results in the widest power band with smooth drivability and idle. For the ultimate in precision, strength/rigidity†,  Skunk2 Ultra camshafts are machined from forged solid 8660 alloy steel blanks that are then rifle drilled, induction hardened, and CNC precision ground.

Expect gains throughout the rpm range with a minimum of +6% to +10% gains from 3,500rpm all the way to redline (S58 @ 40psi dyno gains of 100HP, 100 ft.lb TQ). Though Ultra Stage1 cams are compatible with stock OEM valve springs, we recommend the use of Skunk2 upgraded valve springs (PN: 313-14-1000) along with titanium retainers for the S58 as long-term durability using stock valve springs is unknown.

PLEASE NOTE: VALVE SPRINGS ARE REQUIRED

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO RETUNE THE CAR TO MAKE THESE WORK AS THEY WILL INCREASE AIRFLOW AND CAUSE LEAN AFRS WITHOUT A RETUNE. WE SUGGEST PAUL JOHNSON AS HE HAS EXPERIENCE WITH THESE CAMS.
