VTT Billet Motor Mount Inserts for Toyota A90/A91 Supra

At VTT, we’ve been aware of the limited options for upgrading the factory motor mounts on the A9X platform for quite some time. While there are several aftermarket solutions available, they generally fall into one (or more) of four categories:

• Expensive
• Poor fitment
• Excessive NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness)
• Or a combination of all three

Rather than completely replacing the factory motor mounts, we decided to take a different approach—one inspired by BMW’s own factory race cars.

Instead of replacing the entire mount assembly, we designed a precision CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum insert that installs directly into the factory motor mount. This significantly increases mount stiffness while allowing the factory rubber mount to continue doing what it was designed to do: isolate unwanted vibration.

The result is a noticeable reduction in engine movement without the excessive NVH typically associated with solid or polyurethane replacement mounts—and at a fraction of the cost of complete replacement assemblies.

NVH

During our testing on the A90 Supra, we observed a slight increase in vibration at the factory idle speed. Once the vehicle is moving, the additional NVH is virtually unnoticeable.

For customers looking for an even smoother idle, simply increasing the idle speed to approximately 800–900 RPM through your preferred tuning software nearly eliminates the additional vibration while retaining all of the performance benefits.

Easy Installation

Installation is quick and straightforward.

Simply:

1. Remove the factory motor mounts.
2. Lift the rubber retention flap on the mount.
3. Slide the VTT billet insert into position.
4. Seat the insert by hand.
5. Reinstall the factory motor mounts.

No permanent modifications are required, and the inserts can be removed at any time if desired.
