VTT High-FLOW Crankcase Ventilation Adapter for Hurricane SO & HO Engines
Building a high-horsepower Hurricane SO or HO? As boost pressure increases, so does crankcase pressure. If that pressure is not properly managed, it can lead to oil leaks, excessive oil consumption, smoking, reduced ring seal, power loss, and in severe cases, engine damage.
Proper crankcase evacuation is critical on any high-performance turbocharged engine, especially as boost levels climb well beyond factory calibration.
While many vent systems rely on relatively small -10AN or -12AN plumbing, we’ve found through our own development that these sizes quickly become a restriction on high-boost Hurricane builds. To address this, VTT developed a significantly higher-flow solution capable of supporting everything from aggressive street cars to dedicated race vehicles.
Our billet vent adapter replaces the factory oil cap and securely locks into the valve cover, providing a robust -16ORB connection that can be configured with a variety of fitting sizes to suit your specific build.
Whether you’re running a mild upgraded turbo setup or a full race engine, this system provides the airflow necessary to properly evacuate crankcase pressure while integrating seamlessly into your catch can or breather system.
