VTT has you covered with our 100% new casting  V2 “GC” turbocharger upgrade. We start by keeping the great design elements of the factory turbo and removing the not-so-great ones such as the small factory inlet area, turbo muffler on the outlet, bearing housing oil structure, thrust bearing, and anything else we saw that could be improved upon. This is not your basic IHI CHRA. We completely changed the bearing structure to an new turbine shaft, and journal bearing making it larger than anything in the IHI IS20 or IS38 family, this truly is a custom unit. We also increased the thrust assembly dramatically to deal with the increased thrust loads. With the basics covered, we stepped it up a level by adding proprietary VTT changes to the housings, A/R Ratios and finished off by having all these parts cast to OE quality.  What this means for you is serious MQB power made easy; GCs are a drop-in turbocharger upgrade that supports up to 600WHP while maintaining very fast spool and all factory connections including oil, water, downpipe, and charge pipe. This turbo is perfect for the MQB owner looking to max out the factory fuel system and make their MQB more fun to drive with power to redline, as well as the customer looking to add a fuel system and push towards the 550-600WHP range.   • 71 or 76mm 9 blade “point-milled” compressor wheels with the latest aero technology to maximize flow while virtually eliminating surge
  • Direct connection to ALL factory lines including oil, water, downpipe, and factory charge pipe

  • Redesigned turbocharger inlet with a FULL FLOWING 3” hose connection. Redesigned outlet with no turbo muffler
  • Redesigned, and improved internal components including bearing housing oiling, upgraded internal bearing structure to 8mm Turbine shaft, Journal Bearings, and redesigned thrust bearing with larger thrust pieces to take extra thrust loads.

As with any turbocharger upgrade it should be coupled with complimenting upgrades such as fuel system upgrades, intake, downpipe, intercooler, tune, etc. While you will see gains going from stock turbo to a GC with no other changes, to realize the full potential of the upgrade other parts/tune must be added.
